Under the patronage of His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, His Excellency Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention for Public Health, Head of the Emirates Division of Ear, Nose and Throat at the Emirates Society, President of the World Federation of Ear, Nose and Throat Societies, inaugurated this morning the activities of the thirteenth conference of the Gulf and Emirati Society for Ear, Nose, Throat and Audiology Diseases. In the presence of Dr. Salem Al Darmaki, Representative of the Minister of Health and Prevention, and His Excellency Yousef Mohammed Al Serkal – Director General Emirates Health Services, Dr. Amin Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Regulation, a number of VIPs, in addition to 2330 doctors and specialists from different countries of the world
In his opening speech, His Excellency Dr. Hussein Al-Rand said that the United Arab Emirates has been keen since its inception to keep pace with development in all fields and provide the best medical services to citizens and residents thanks to the continuous support and care of the wise leadership, which stressed the need to pay attention to providing health services to every citizen and resident in its fullest form in order to ensure the safety of society.
He explained that the conference will discuss over 3 days different topics covering all diseases related to the ear, nose and throat and all that is related to this field, whether medical or cosmetic, including the latest findings of the world in this field, as well as the conference will discuss the use of endoscopes in surgeries of the nose and sinuses as well as skull base surgeries through the nose, and one of the conference sessions will be devoted to discussing modern methods in rhinoplasty from a cosmetic point of view as well as the functional aspect of the nose, and will also discuss problems Sleep apnea, snoring, the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment, as well as ear surgeries to improve hearing, cochlear implants, and various topics related to the field of rhinopathy and surgery.
He stressed that the conference is an excellent opportunity for all doctors working in the field of ear, nose and throat diseases in the Gulf and Arab countries to work together and collect information on the latest technologies and research in the field of ear, nose, throat, head and neck diseases. The conference is accompanied by a medical exhibition specialized in the field of otolaryngology.
In turn, Rashid Al-Abri, Secretary General of the Gulf Association, said that the conference represents a milestone added to the success of the conference, especially since the current conference is held in cooperation with the American Society of Otolaryngology, in addition to being approved by the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Government of Dubai Health Authority.
He added that the conference presents the latest technologies and medical developments through the main lectures, workshops, scientific discussions and educational courses, and the topics will include all aspects related to specialization.
At the end of the opening activities, a number of doctors, companies and research owners from the newly graduated young generation were honored for their research, which the conference supported by bearing the costs of travel and accommodation.
After that, His Excellency Dr. Hussein Al-Rand and the dignitaries inaugurated the accompanying exhibition, in which 36 local and international companies participate displaying their latest products of audio and modern devices
