Dubai, UAE – May 12th 2025 – GETEX 2025 (Global Education and Training Exhibition) concluded this past weekend at the Dubai World Trade Centre, once again cementing its reputation as the region’s foremost event for higher education and career guidance. Drawing over 15,000 students, parents, and education professionals, this year’s edition delivered a dynamic and engaging platform for direct interaction between visitors and leading academic institutions from around the world.
Reflecting the pace of change in global education trends, GETEX 2025 was smarter, more diverse, and aligned with the aspirations of students. The exhibition featured over 150 institutions representing a wide international spectrum and showcased more than 900 academic and vocational programs, ranging from traditional undergraduate courses to new degrees in emerging disciplines.
This year welcomed several distinguished exhibitors, including EM Normandie Business School, École Ducasse Abu Dhabi Studio, Sigmund Freud Private University (Austria), and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi – Abu Dhabi. Each brought distinctive programs in high-demand fields such as business, culinary arts, psychology, and technology, responding directly to the growing interest from GCC students in globally relevant, career-oriented education.
EM Normandie Business School marked a significant milestone by showcasing its Dubai campus — the first French business school licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education. “GETEX provides a platform for personalized guidance and networking, aligning with EM Normandie’s mission to inspire and train future leaders for international careers,” said Anna Tkachenko, Student Recruitment and Admissions Manager.
École Ducasse, represented by its Abu Dhabi campus, emphasized the growing importance of vocational education. Mitali Gupta, Business Development Manager, shared: “GETEX Dubai is an ideal launchpad for engaging aspiring culinary professionals. We aim to attract students who seek more than a degree—those who want real-world skills, industry access, and a confident start to their careers. In today’s world, vocational education is not just relevant—it is essential.”
Also exhibiting for the first time was Med Edu Care, specialising in facilitating overseas medical programs tailored to student ambitions and budgets. “Being at GETEX checks all the boxes for us,” said Jay Karpe, Country Manager. “We are here to build partnerships with global universities and connect with students seeking wider options in specialisations in medicine.
Longstanding participants such as Gulf Medical University, University of Birmingham Dubai,
BITS Pilani Dubai, Emirates Aviation University, and Canadian University Dubai returned for yet another impactful event. Their ongoing commitment to GETEX reflects the event’s continued relevance in a competitive education market.
Nahid Afshan, Head of Admissions at BITS Pilani Dubai, remarked: “GETEX consistently aligns with our strategic goals. It enables meaningful engagement with prospective students and reinforces our position in a dynamic academic environment.”
Mustafa Ali Himmati, Student Recruitment Manager at Canadian University Dubai, highlighted new initiatives: “We are launching future-focused programs in AI, renewable energy, entrepreneurship, and doctoral studies, supported by our innovation incubator. Our aim is to empower students not just as jobseekers, but as innovators and future leaders.”
Parents lauded the event for helping streamline the often-overwhelming process of university research. Smita Kumar, a parent new to the UAE, shared: “GETEX gave us clarity and an insight into the global study options available here. Speaking directly with universities helped my daughter gain confidence and focus.”
Students echoed a similar sentiment. “GETEX literally opened up a world I didn’t know existed,” said Sara Mohamed from Al Itqan American School, who was attending the event for the first time.
Anselm Godinho, Managing Director of International Conferences and Exhibitions, reflected on the event’s impact: “GETEX 2025 has been the best meeting place for families to interact directly with universities for future planning, and informed decision-making. Year after year, we are proud to be the platform where ambition meets opportunity. The level of engagement this year proves that face-to-face interaction remains the most powerful way for educators to reach students.”
With record attendance, expanded global participation, and overwhelmingly positive feedback from both visitors and exhibitors, GETEX 2025 has once again raised the bar for what an education expo can deliver. Plans are already underway for GETEX 2026, which promises to be even more expansive, inclusive, and forward-looking.
